Mentorship Program

Mentorship in the sport psychology career is primarily designed for helping mentees reach the mentored experience toward the CMPC credential. However, it is suggested throughout the AASP Code of Ethics that professionals always maintain a mentoring relationship. So, the Mentorship Program Membership at Pivot with Dr. Cameron is designed to be maintained throughout a career with opportunities to mentor others, share expertise, and collaborate to expand knowledge.

The goals with this Mentorship Program are to 1) build long-term mentoring relationships 2) create a community network and 3) build collaborative knowledge library. What makes this program different than meeting the minimum mentored hours are listed to the right.  Monthly fees are $200.

If you are interested, please email Dr. Cameron below to see if there is open space in the program. In your email, include your current progress toward the CMPC.

Individual Mentoring Sessions

Mentees can get up to 2 individual mentored hours with Dr. Cameron each month. Mentees bring the topic for each session and use the time to refine and enhance their professional skills.

2

Small Group Mentorship

Each month, Dr. Cameron will host a small group session for all members of the Mentorship Program. Topics may be specific skills, case study collaboration, current events, research or theory exploration, etc.

3

Levels of Progress

Mentees will be placed in levels of their mentorship which helps them clarify what they should be focusing on during each phase and the scope of their work at that time.

4

Organizational Structure

Mentees have the option to utilize Pivot's already established structure, protocol, and tools to complete some of their mentored hours. For those hoping to start a business or work part-time as a mental coach this is a huge benefit.
